CSMCC Bags New Contract in Inner Mongolia

China Second Metallurgical Construction Corporation Ltd. (CSMCC) announced that it had dug a new deal in Inner Mongolia recently among the other nine competitors. Under the coking project ( with an output capacity of 1.3 million tons per annum) of Inner Mongolia Energy Co., Ltd. of Xinwen Mining Group, CSMCC was awarded with the No. 1 Bidding Section by means of its powerful comprehensive strength and outstanding social reputation. This project consisted of civil works, furnace construction, equipment installation and pipeline construction for coking and coke quenching system.
The No. 1 Bidding Section includes a 65-hole large-capacity coke oven, with an annual coke production volume of 650,000 tons, and the coking chamber is 5.5m in height. The project scope covers over 20 works such as: (i) all the civil works for the coke oven; (ii) furnace construction; (iii) cold/hot-state works; (iv) coaling tower; (v) stamping station; (vi) chimney; (vii) coke quenching system; (viii) installation of specialized equipment for coke oven; and (ix) the other installation works. The overall construction period is fixed as 345 days. To ensure the project completion on a safe, quality and fast basis, CSMCC has worked out in advance the safeguard measures in respect of implementation schedule, quality, safety and technology. In addition, a competent project team was fielded ahead of schedule on site on September 20, 2009 for preparation works such as the large-sized temporary facilities and construction equipment/tools. All these efforts will serve as a consolidated foundation for the formal project commissioning anticipated on September 1, 2010.
