MCC Shijiu Construction Co., Ltd. (Shijiu) announced that it won the bidding for a nickel works and signed the contract with Guangxi Beihai Chengde Nickel Industry Co., Ltd. on October 21, 2009.
Under the project, facilities will be built for nickel chrome engineering, with an annual output of 1 million tons. The first phase of the project consists of the civil works, equipment installation, manufacturing and installation of steel structure and installation of electrical apparatus for a sintering system (covering an area of 132 square meters) and a primary smelting furnace (with a volume of 450 cubic meters), which will be carried out in an EPC manner and completed within 11 months.
Now Shijiu has started preparation work for the project commencement. By utilizing its own advantages, Shijiu will: (i) fully enhance the management level; (ii) optimize the construction program; (iii) actively coordinate with the Employer and the Supervision Unit; (iv) ensure the project to be undertaken on a timely, safe, qualified and civilized basis; and (v) successfully complete all the construction tasks.
