Non-healing wounds often cause further trauma to patients. Now the healing of such hard-to-cure wounds and scars is likely to be improved.
Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and Sweden's Mulnlycke Health Care Group AB (Mulnlycke) signed a memorandum on technical cooperation on Feb. 20, 2011. It was announced that the two parties will join hands to establish the first wound and scar treatmentcare center & training base in Central central and Western western China. And rRegulations of standard wound treatment and care will be formulated.
Upon the establishment of such a treatment care center & training base, patients with chronic or hard-to-heal wounds will be gathered to get unified treatments. Novel theories and technologies of wound healing care will be studied and explored.
And regulations of standard wound treatment and care will be gradually formulated. As When the patient gets informed and his/her economic condition permits, the most advanced dressings worldwide could would be applied for chronic or hard-to-heal wounds to reduce further trauma caused during the replacement of traditional
dressingsones. It will protect the healing wounds and reduce the time of healing, thus sparing the patients from more pain and suffering.
