Recently, University President Professor Chen Xin and Professor G. Viswanathan, Chancellor of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT University) signed a memorandum of understanding on international academic program.
According to the MOU, the two universities will carry out cooperation on 2 plus 2 bachelor programs, exchanging visits of students, teachers and researchers, joint courses, cooperative research, co-sponsored academic activities, and academic information exchange.
Located in Vellore City, India, VIT University is India's first educational institution certified by ISO9002 and by the British Institution of Electrical Engineers. The university has over 17,000 full-time students. As one of the most famous universities of technology in India, its discipline of computer software ranks in the front of the world. The university adopts an international training mode and maintains cooperative relations with many foreign educational institutions and research institutes. Every year, nearly 30% of its graduates go to work abroad.
