Dr. Li Dasheng met with Dr. Anas Miftah Fauzi, vice president of Rektor Institut Pertanian Bogor
On Nov. 8, upon the invitation of SCAU for the centennial celebration, Dr. Boonsom Siribumrungsukha, the President of Prince of Songkla University, Thailand and Dr. Anas Miftah Fauzi, Vice President of Rektor Institut Pertanian Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia came to visit SCAU. CPC Secretary Li Dasheng met with the guests respectively. The two sides exchanged ideas about furthering the cooperation between universities. Vice president Liao Ming and heads from Office of International Relations, College of Animal Science, College of Natural Resources and Environment were also present at the meeting.
Dr. Li Dasheng and President Boonsom Siribumrungsukha reviewed the 15-year history of cooperation between two universities and there were so many similarities between the two countries and solid foundation for the cooperation. Li hoped that the two universities would continue to expand areas of cooperation, gradually improve the levels of cooperation in more diverse ways.Mr. Voravit Siripholvat, Executive Chairman of Council of the Deans of Agricultural Science said that the Council was composed of 21 agricultural universities in Thailand and they expected to expand more substantive cooperation with SCAU.
At the talks with Dr. Anas Miftah Fauzi, Vice president of Rektor Institut Pertanian Bogor, Dr. Li Dasheng mentioned that exchange of mutual visits and scientific researches between the two universities had been carried out smoothly in recently years. Cooperation had been very successful in many fields, especially the silk industry. He hoped that the two sides could have further expanding areas of cooperation to achieve win-win situation mutually on the existing basis.
