The delegation of MurdochUniversity in Australia came to visit our university on the morning of Sept. 14th. The delegation consisted of Hendrik Halim, Director of International Cooperation Office, and one of his colleagues. The purpose of the delegation was to discuss over the substantive exchange and cooperation programs with our university. Relevant principals from ZSTU International Exchange & Cooperation Division, School of Economics & Management and School of Foreign Language Studies met the delegation at Room 312 of Administration Building.
A thorough discussion was held on how to conduct exchange and cooperation between the two universities and a series of specific problems including program mode, application qualification, fees and credit confirmation. The two universities agreed to start from the easy-to-operate programs to progress their cooperation. Such programs include short-term research and training, exchange student, ZSTU students studying at MurdochUniversity for Master s degree. School of Economics & Management and School of Foreign Language Studies were much interested in the joint education programs, such as graduate study 3+1, graduate study 2+2, and master education 1+1, and made a tentative negotiation with MurdochUniversity in terms of education plan, course connection, and degree conferring. Representatives from International Exchange & Cooperation Division told the delegation the various means for students of MurdochUniversity to learn at ZSTU and the delegation said that they would actively do their job and have their students study at ZSTU as soon as possible.
It is the second time that MurdochUniversity has sent their delegation to ZSTU. The two universities signed memo of understanding in June, 2010. The two parities agreed to start from the feasible programs to progress their exchange and communication and achieve substantive outcomes.
