ZSTU won 2 silvers at the 7th Challenge Cup College Student Business Plan Competition

ZSTU won two silver medals at the final of the 7th Challenge Cup College Student Business Plan Competition recently concluded in JilinUniversity. The medal winning plans are Xixi Accessories Co. Ltd co-instructed by Hu Xudong and Hu Jianfeng and Hangzhou BoAn Brand Co. Ltd. instructed by Jin Zimin.

ZSTU has attached great importance to the Challenge Cup. Cheng Gang, Assistant Secretary of ZSTU CPC Committee, went to JilinUniversity in person to boost the morale of the team. Hu Jianfeng was also at the competition venue, explaining the rules and providing on-the-spot guidance. ZSTU Communist Youth League Committee worked conscientiously to organize the previous competitions that led to the final. Their warm and thoughtful preparations ensured the students wholeheartedness to the competition.

This year s Challenge Cup was jointly sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and All-China Students Federation, and co-organized by JilinUniversity and the Changchun Municipal Government. Nearly 3,000 people watched the competition, including leaders from the related governmental organs, teacher and student representatives from the universities and colleges across the whole country, specialists and experts, entrepreneurs, venture investors and news reporters.

Dubbed as the Olympics for innovative spirit and entrepreneurship among college students, the Challenge Cup, since its launch in 1999, has evolved into the largest and the most influential competition of its kind with good social and economic results.

It is learned that millions of college students from thousands of higher education institutions took part in the competition since it started in May. After several rounds of provincial and national selection, only 165 business plans from 115 universities of mainland China and 17 plans from 8 universities from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan made the final list. The plans cover a wide range of fields, including agriculture and forestry, livestock husbandry, food & food-related industries, bio-pharmaceutical industry, chemical technology, environmental science, electronic information, materials, mechanics and energy and service information. The highlight of this year s competition is the inclusion of the network virtual operation designed to increase the competition s practicality.
