Vice President Chen Kuiqing Visits JPU s Graduate Village Official in Guanyun

On November 3 Vice President Chen Kuiqing together with the heads of Student Affairs Office, Student Recruiting Office and School of Foreign Languages visited Ke Xi, a JPU graduate working as a village official in Guanyun.
During the visit, Lu Hua, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Guanyun County Committee and First Deputy County Chief met with visitors. In the company of Zhong Ling, Guanyun s Deputy County Chief and Yang Yun, First Deputy Head of the Organization Department of CPC Guanyun County Committee, Vice President Chen came to Muwei Township where Ke Xi, an English major and 2007 graduate, worked as a village official.
In the meeting held by the township government, Vice President Chen Kuiqing carefully learned of Ke Xi s work in Muwei Township and extended thanks on behalf of the unversity to CPC Guanyun County Committee and the county government for their concern for and nurture of our student. He also introduced JPU s schooling features and recent development in detail to related cadres of Guanyun County and Muwei Township. They had in-depth discussion on the training of graduate village officials for the grassroots level and cooperation in the combination of production, teaching and research.
After the meeting, Vice President Chen Kuiqing went to Zhuqueqiao Village where Ke Xi worked and visited the yellow mealworm breeding base founded by her. The visiting entrepreneurs presented Ke Xi with 4,000 yuan supporting fund and microwave ovens worth 3,000 yuan.
In the visit, Ke Xi who had just been unanimously elected Deputy Township Chief of Muwei Township excitedly expressed her gratitude toward JPU and said that she would cherish the care of the local cadres and work harder to repay the nurture and care of the school with outstanding working performance.
