Governor Luo Zhijun Meets with Party Committee Secretary Shi Guodong

On March 30, 2010, during the visit to Jiangsu Angete New Material Technology Co., Ltd. which is the Industry-University-Research cooperation base of JPU, Luo Zhijun, Governor of Jiangsu Province and Vice Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial Committee, met with Party Committee Secretary Shi Guodong and Chen Qun, Vice President of JPU. During the meeting, Governor Luo presented his congratulations on the renaming of the university as Changzhou University, and gave ideas for the future development of the university. He pointed out that the university should continue its Industry-University-Research cooperation so as to better serve the local economic and social development. He also mentioned that the university must seize this opportunity to develop itself. And last Governor Luo encouraged the university to do much better in the future and make greater contributions to the local economic and social development of Changzhou. During the inspection, Governor Luo showed great interest toward the university s projects cooperated with Angete, and thought highly of the independent intellectual property rights obtained. He was also very glad to know that the low-carbon green products developed cooperatively by the university and Angete can completely replace the imported products. Later, Governor Luo took pictures with the research staff of the university, and the president and R & D staff of Angete, and encouraged them to make more contributions to the revitalization of Science and Technology in Jiangsu.
