During the visit in Ireland, President Pu met with Prof. John O. Hughes, President of National University of Ireland, Maynooth, and Prof. James A. Walsh, Vice President of National University of Ireland, Maynooth. Both sides renewed the collaborative talents training program agreement. Ms. Liu Bi-Wei, China Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Ireland, attended the signing ceremony. The delegation also had discussions on bio-directional teacher visiting business with departments of Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Bio-chemical Industry and Pharmacy Engineering, and Economy of National University of Ireland, Maynooth, and on collaborative PhD training, M.A and ACCA training with Graduate School. During the visit, the delegation members also met with teachers and students of National University of Ireland, Maynooth to learn about the studying and living situation of JPU students studing there. President Pu encouraged JPU students studying in Maynooth to enhance confidence, learn to adapt to the environment and local society, and make full use of all resource obtained so as to make greater achievements for themselves, as well as for JPU and for their motherland.
