Xu Liuping, JPU Alumnus, Selected As 2009 CCTV China Economic Annual Figure

The result of 2009 CCTV China Economic Annual Figure Award was announced in the evening of Dec. 23^rd, 2009. This was the tenth selection of the economic annual figure held by CCTV. The selection was made among many business elites and selected by judges consisting of economist, business elites, scholars from business schools and also chief editors of domestic and foreign authoritative finance media. Mr. Xu Liuping, President of Chongqing Chang An Automobile Company Ltd., JPU alumnus majored in Organic Chemical Industry and graduated in 1985, finally was selected as one of 2009 CCTV China Economic Annual Figures.
In early 2009, Xu Liuping, as President of Chongqing Chang An Automobile Company Ltd., made the program of Occupying Rural Market , early before the car subsidy program for rural areas was staged. Xu s program made Chongqing Chang An become the leading player of the car subsidy program for rural areas. The car subsidy program for rural areas contributed much to the development of national auto market, accounting for 35% of the national auto sales, and created a miracle during the economic crisis.
Mr. Xu s spirit of innovation and generous donation to the society would be a great encouragement for JPU students and teachers to work with greater creativity to develop the university, as well as better serving local economy and the petrochemical industry
