Wuhan Union Hospital Signs MOU with Tulane School of Medicine

The delegation from the School of Medicine of Tulane University, headed by Prof. Lee Hamm, Executive Vice Dean of the School of Medicine and Director of the Department of Internal Medicine, signed Memorandum of Resident Exchange between Wuhan Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, HUST and Tulane University, School of Medicine during their visit to Wuhan Union Hospital.

Prof. Wang Guobing, Director of Wuhan Union Hospital extended a warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of the hospital. During the meeting both Prof. Wang and Prof. Lee expressed their desire to establish cooperative relations in their respective address. The two parties held discussions on cooperation in scientific research projects, student education and clinical practice in a warm atmosphere, and reached an initial agreement on a resident physician exchange program. At the end of the meeting the aforementioned MOU was signed.

After the meeting, the delegates visited operation rooms and ICUs in Union Hospital and held group discussions with some department heads on details of cooperation and exchanges.

Other visiting guests are Prof. Frank Rosinia, Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology and Prof. Liu, Director of Cardiac Anesthesiology of School of Medicine, Tulane University.
