The Asia Communications and Photonics Conference and Exhibition ACP was held successfully in the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center from Nov. 2-6. The conference scheduled nearly eight hundred presentations of various kinds, including plenary lectures, invited lectures, oral reports, short courses, symposiums, poster presentation. More than six hundred of delegates presented at the conference, from more than twenty countries and regions such as China, United States, UK, Germany, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong, three hundred of whom were foreign delegates.
Prof. Luo Qingming, vice president and deputy director of Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics WNLO , was invited to co-chair the Biophotonics and Optical Sensors Conference, and delivered a tutorial talk titled "Optoelectronic Neuroimaging Approaches" on Nov. 5.
Prof. Liu Deming and Doctor Wang Jian from WNLO are appointed as members of Passive Components and Fiber-Based Devices subcommittee. Prof. Sun Junqiang is appointed as member of Optoelectronic Materials and Devices subcommittee and Prof. Li Pengcheng as member of Biophotonics and Optical Sensors subcommittee. Prof. Zhang Zhihong, Prof Li Pengcheng and Prof. Liu Dengming delivered invited speeches during the conference. In addition, Prof. Luo Qingming, Prof. Sun Junqiang and Prof. Zhang Zhihong were invited to preside over a panel session respectively.
Besides, some students from WNLO attended the conference and made presentations, and eight students presented their research papers.
