Prof Luo Qingming Attended Asia University Presidents Forum

From Nov.12th to 14th, Prof. Luo Qingming, Vice-President of HUST, attended the Asia University Presidents Forum in Guangzhou, with the theme of "Higher Eeducation and Rregional Economic and Social Ddevelopment in Asia". The forum totally attracted 200 representatives from nearly 80 renowned universities in Asia.

On the morning of Nov.13th, Prof. Luo met with Akihisa Inoue, President of Tohoku University, who also attended the forum. They exchanged views on the extension of intercollegiate agreements and multi-field exchanges, such as Material Science and Optoelectronics.

HUST, in recent years, has cooperated with several renowned Japanese universities, among which Tohoku University is the third Japanese national university to start a partnership with HUST, following Tokyo University and Kyoto University. Tohoku University is famous for its eminent achievements in scientific fields like Material Science.

The intercollegiate cooperativeon agreement between HUST and Tohoku University was signed in 2005. Akihisa Inoue, President of Tohoku University as well as a prestigious scholar of Material Science in the world, showed his willingness to enhance further cooperation between Tohoku University and HUST.
