Recently, it is publicly announced by the Ministry of Education that five courses of HUST had been listed in the National Excellent Courses.
In all, there are 49 courses listed in the National Excellent Courses, exceeding the target of 40 national Excellent courses in the 11th five-year plan. The courses cover engineering, medicine, science, management, economy, art and philosophy, in which the medical courses are ranked third, and the engineering courses the 5th around the country.
In addition, there are 106 provincial Excellent courses of HUST, exceeding the target of 80 provincial excellent courses in the 11th five-year plan and ranking the first in universities of Hubei.
