On Nov.28th, HSK elementary-intermediate was held at HUST. 89 international students in total attended the examination. This is the first time for HUST to host national standardized test officially made by Hanban China National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language .
Previously, there were only two host sites for HSK in Wuhan: Wuhan University and Huazhong Normal University. As for this change, quite a lot of international students reflected that it is more convenient and relaxed for them to take HSK.
It is reported that HSK is designed for non-native speakers of Chinese language. It includes three ranks, Basic level 1-3 , Elementary-intermediate level 3-8 and Advanced level9-11 . International students who intend to get scholarship and start major learning taught in Chinese have to pass a certain level. The HSK will be held for 3-4 times at HUST every year.
