Write: Myles [2011-05-20]

"Internationalization of Graduate Curriculum", innovative talents cultivation program of 985 Project phase III , was initiated recently. 148 international or national renowned scholars will be invited to give lectures on 100 or so graduate courses from October to December.

Of the scholars, 72 are from European and American countries, 20 from Asia and 56 from domestic well-known universities. A number of internationally eminent scholars will introduce world academic frontiers directly to HUST's graduate curriculum. Through this means, students can broaden their horizons, have an understanding of the international frontiers in academic achievements and of cutting-edge research subjects, and trigger their enthusiasm on scientific quest, which therefore enables them to become interdisciplinary talents with international competitiveness.

According to the program, 150-200 domestic and world famous scholars will annually be invited to engage in the internationalization of HUST's graduate curriculum in the upcoming four years. The internationalization encompasses the evaluation and designing of various courses, lecturing frontier courses, introducing new graduate courses and course books, promoting academic exchanges, training young teachers and pilot trial of innovative cultivation module.
