Delegation of Blekinge Institute of Technology Visited SDU at Weihai

From October 21^st to23^rd, Professor Anders Hederstierna, the Vice-president of Blekinge Institute of Technology, and Ms. Maria Engelmark, the Head of the International Office of the university, visited Shandong University at Weihai. Han Shenghao, the President of SDU at Weihai, met with the delegation. The two universities agreed on fostering further cooperation and exchange in areas such as teaching and scientific research and working together to bring advancement in the student and teacher exchange project.

The delegation also met with the faculty from the School of Information Engineering, School of Mechanical & Electronic Engineering and School of Mathematics and Statistics. Agreements were reached on issues of the double-degree project, student and teacher exchange project, international course project and visiting scholar project.

Since the agreements on cooperation between the two universities were signed in 2007, SDU at Weihai has sent 7 exchange students to Blekinge Institute of Technology and has invited its professors to teach at SDU at Weihai. The cooperation has proved fruitful.
