Merieux Alliance Delegation Visited Jiangnan University

On January 21, a 3-member delegation from Merieux Alliance paid a visit to Jiangnan University and met with the university leaders, experts and professors in the field of food safety, so as to enhance the exchanges and cooperation between our university and Merieux Alliance. The delegation consists of Dr.

Russ Flower, Chairman of the Board and Chief Scientific Officer and Dr. Antoine Bloc, Vice President of Asian Pacific at Silliker Group Corp. and Dr. Liao Qizhi, Chief Representative of Merieux Alliance. Professors from the School of Food Science and Technology and the State Key Laboratory exchanged with the delegation about the latest research achievements and methods in the field of food safety and discussed with them about the university-enterprise cooperation between Jiangnan University and Silliker Group.

The discussion gave rise to the 3-point consensus as follows: 1) Carrying out cooperation in offering training courses in food safety; 2) Carrying out cooperation in research and formulation in food safety and microbial standard; 3) Establishing a joint research center on food safety. President Chen Jian and Vice President Wang Wu accompanied the guests in the discussion and the visit to the State Key Laboratory.
