All Nippon Airways Co (ANA) has partnered with Hong Kong investment firm First Eastern Investment Group, to launch its low-cost airline.
According to a report in eTurbo News, the new joint venture was formed in mid-February last year under the name A&F-Aviation Co, and will be capitalised at JPY30.5-million funded by ANA, First Eastern Investment Group, and others. It aims to launch its services in the second quarter of 2011 and will offer domestic flights as well as flights between Japan and China, and other overseas destinations. Its fares are set to cost half of the airfares of major carriers.
