Taking inspiration from PATA s AT&RTCM event to be held in Pokhara, Nepal from February 7-11, under the theme Social Giveback: Doing Well by Doing Good , the PATA UK Chapter is asking UK travel agents to consider projects they may have visited on their travels or supported from afar.
The UK Chapter s Do Well, Do Good Day aims to encouraging people across the region or who do business in the region to participate in or support environmental or social projects. Agents can submit brief details of their nomination to pr@pata.org.uk, including their name, name of their agency and contact details along with information on why they feel the project they have suggested should benefit from the funding. Suggestions must be projects based in the Asia Pacific region and the closing date is Tuesday March 1. The agent whose project is selected will see the GBP1,000 which is being donated jointly by Travel Aid 50 and the PATA (UK Chapter) go to their nominated good cause. The agent whose project is selected will also win an Amazon Kindle.
