New Zealand Tourism has seen an influx of Australian and Chinese tourists that led to a surge in tourists arrivals in December 2010.
Statistics New Zealand has reported the number of Australians visiting the country rose to 3% to 151,400 while Chinese tourists increased to 21% to 14,200 in December 2010, as reported in eTurbo News. A total increase of 1.3% to 345,700 was recorded for the month of December 2010 in comparison to December 2009.
