Representatives from UOP and Honeywell visited DICP

Ms. Sharry Lynch, manager of the Department of Renewable Energies & Chemicals, UOP Co., USA, Mr. LIU Youyi, business development manager of Beijing Office, UOP Co., and Mr. YAO Wenbin, senior technical manager of China R&D Center, Honeywell Co., USA, visited DICP on 15th January. They were coming to survey the progress made by the DICP Research Group of Oceanic Bio-Products Engineering on the study of hydrogen production from oceanic micro-algae, and to probe the possibility as well as the possible mode of cooperation between their companies and DICP.

During the visit, Ms. Lynch and Prof. ZHANG Wei of DICP introduced respectively their own research work in this area. Then, they conducted discussions on the relevant R&D problems. Both sides expressed great interest on the establishing of possible cooperation, and suggested that concrete negotiations should be carried out as soon as possible.

The guests were also invited to tour the laboratory of the DICP Research Group of Oceanic Bio-Products Engineering.
