The phase I project of Xingsha Ecological Park in Changsha County has been completed recently. The whole park will open to the public free of charge this May, relevant chief of the Changsha County Bureau of City Administration told the reporter. The park will cover a total area of 2,610 mu (174 hectares), larger than Hunan Lieshi Park (Martyrs' Park). All the landscapes of the park will be threaded by Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Railway.
Located between Kaiyuan West Road and the Ruidu River, Xixia Road and Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, Xingsha Ecological Park stretches 3.96 kms from north to south and 260m from east to west. The phase I project has an area of 1,560 mu (104 hectares) and the phase II project will cover an area of 1,050 mu (70 hectares).
As the park is completed, people can enjoy 21 tourist attractions including Landscape Pavilion, Star Touching Mountain Peak, Star Bridge, Moon Invitation Pavilion and Celebrity Park.
