NNETDZ Aims to Enter the Top 50 National Economic and Development Zones

In recent years, NNEDZ has achieved great-leap-forward development by upgrading industries, promoting financial services, strengthening security and attracting powerful enterprises. Many leading enterprises including Changsha Broad Housing Industry Co., Ltd, Gree Electrical Appliances Inc. Changsha Branch and Qiaqia Food Co., Ltd Changsha Branch settled in the zone. In 2010 alone, the zone introduced 21 projects with each worth of 100 million yuan. Unilever and Gree, the two world s top 500 enterprises will start construction in NNEDZ. The former will manufacture the top-class ice cream in Ningxiang and Gree will build up the manufacturing bases of refrigerators and washing machines there.

During the 12th Five-year Plan period (2011-2015) NNEDZ will strive to enter the circle of national top 50 economic and technological development zones. During these five years, every effort will be made to realize the total industrial revenue of 120 billion yuan with the total fiscal revenue to exceed five billion yuan. To achieve this goal, the zone will carry out the development strategy of lifting the quality of core enterprises by making full use of Changsha s optimized environment for economic development and the radiating influence of its neighboring city Yiyang and expanding the business of Western Union.
