igning Ceremony of China - Germany Economic and Trade Cooperation Projects Held in Berlin

The Chinese government economic and trade delegation and German Party held a signing ceremony in Berlin, capital of Germany on October 12. Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping witnessed the signing ceremony.
A total of nine cooperation agreements were signed by the two sides, which are website construction, education exchanges and cooperation, equipment procurement, establishment of joint venture plants and financial cooperation. Mr. Zhong Shan, Deputy Minister of Commerce, Mr. Wei Chuanzhong, Vice Minister of State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, Mr. Bernd Pfaffenbach, State Secretary of German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, and Mr. Torsten Bahke, Director of the German Institute for Standardization signed the MOU on Launching China-Germany Standard Information Platform. According to the MOU, China National Standardization Administration and German Institute for Standardization will jointly establish China-German standard information platform on which two interfaces in Chinese and German will be established, and with English as the bridge, enterprises of China and Germany will be able to retrieve relevant existing standards of the two countries efficiently and accurately.
Assistant Minister of Commerce Chong Quan presided over the signing ceremony.
China and Germany are important economic and trade partners of each other, Germany is China s largest trading partner in Europe and sixth largest trading partner in the world, and the total accumulated actual investment of Germany in China ranks the second in EU countries.
