Sinotrans Limited Signs Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement
on Logistics Business with CSR
On March 23, 2009, Sinotrans Limited, a subsidiary of SINOTRANS signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on Logistics Business with China South Locomotive & Rolling Stock Corporation Limited (CSR), a subsidiary of China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Industry (Group) Corporation at Jinyun Building in Beijing.
The two companies planned to develop the domestic and abroad integrated logistics business together in an all-around way. The attendees at the signing ceremony included Mr. Zhao Huxiang, president of SINOTRANS and chairman of Sinotrans Limited, Mr. Zhang Jianwei, director of SINOTRANS and president of Sinotrans Limited, Mr.
Wang Taiwen, director of SINOTRANS, Mr. Zhao Xiaogang, president of China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Industry (Group) Corporation and chairman of CSR, Mr. Zheng Changhong, secretary of CPC Committee of China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Industry (Group) Corporation and president of CSR and Mr.
Fu Jianguo, vice president of CSR. Mr. Liu Changsong, secretary of the Board of SINOTRANS , Mr. Pan Sansheng, general manager of Engineering Logisics Business Department of Sinotrans Limited, Mr. Wang Xuedong, vice general manager of Marketing Department of Sinotrans Limited, Mr. Sun Xuejun, vice chief engineer of CSR and Mr.
Wang Xian, vice chief economist of CSR were also present at the ceremony. The signing ceremony was chaired over by Mr. Ouyang Pu, vice president of Sinotrans Limited.
Mr. Zhao Huxiang, president of SINOTRANS addressed a speech at the signing ceremony first. He said, this strategic cooperation between CSR and Sinotrans Limited was not only a response to SASAC s (State-owned Asset Supervision and Administration Commission) call for pulling together to overcome difficulties in hard times by win-win cooperation, but also a choice made by the two companies who would like to fight actively against the financial crisis together by means of resource share and reciprocity.
Sinotrans Limited would provide integrated logistics services in an all-around way for CSR with the support of rich project management experience, advanced technologies and equipment, professional work teams and global network resources.
Mr. Zhao Xiaogang, president of China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Industry (Group) Corporation briefed the status quo of the group, the leading company in locomotive & rolling stock manufacturing industry in China in his speech. He expressed the company s willingness to establish a wide range of cooperation with SINOTRANS on logistics business and to make joint efforts with SINOTRANS to ensure maintenance and increment of the State-owned assets under the leadership of SASAC. He wished both sides win-win cooperation.
Later, both sides witnessed the signing of the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on Logistics Business by President Zhang Jianwei of Sinotrans Limited and President Zheng Changhong of CSR.
The alliance made by SINOTRANS and China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Industry (Group) Corporation as strategic partners aimed at promoting business cooperation between them by means of resource integration and innovative management, so as to enhance service quality and efficiency, to consolidate their market positions and comprehensive competitiveness and to achieve a win-win result. Sinotrans Limited would provide CSR with professional logistics services to ensure safety and high-efficiency in transportation of CSR s goods and to help CSR cut operation costs efficiently.
Both sides had a cordial and friendly conversation before the signing ceremony.
