Mr. Jih-Rong Yen, Vice President of I-Shou University and Mr. Jaw-Ming,Chou, the Dean of its Office of Student Affairs visited ZSTU on the afternoon of October 9th to discuss the specifics of the exchange programs between the two universities. They were warmly received by the staff concerned from the Office of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, the Academic Affairs Division, the Student Affairs Division, the PostgraduateSchool and the College of Economics and Management in the room 312 of the AdministrativeOfficesBuilding
The two sides held a warm talk, first introducing to each other their respective development, discipline construction, teaching, researching and exchange programs, then going to details on joint seminars, teacher and student exchange programs, co-launching of EMBA program and other cooperative projects. They agreed that starting from the spring of 2011, I-ShouUniversity would take five excellent ZSTU undergraduates to study at I-Shou for one semester free of charge and other students of related majors at their own expenses. The two sides also exchanged experience on academic and student affairs management.
It is the first time I-ShouUniversity has sent a delegation to ZSTU since an agreement on academic cooperation was signed in June, 2010. They both expressed their willingness to achieve early substantial results by engaging in some practical cooperation.
After the talk, the delegation was shown around the campus. President Qiu Songliang and Vice President Chen Jianyong also met the guests.
