JPU Signs an Agreement with Rockford College

On November 18, Robert L. Head, President of Rockford College and Dr. Lui Lixing, Special Advisor to the President visited JPU. President Pu Yuzhong and Vice President Sun Xiaoqiang accompanied by the head of School of International Education and Exchange warmly welcomed President Head.
On behalf of the party committee and the school administration, President Pu Yuzhong extended a warm welcome to the visitors. He said that as an old school founded in 1847, Rockford College has a glorious history. It not only schooled the Nobel Peace Prize winner but also made world-famous achievements in humanities, professional education, and community service learning. Rockford College is another American school that establishes cooperation with JPU after the University of Alaska, functioning as a bridge for Sino-US exchanges and cooperation. President Pu sincerely hoped that the two sides would further promote an in-depth and comprehensive cooperation between them in the fields of joint training, exchange of teachers and students, short-term visits, etc. Dr. Robert L. Head introduced the basic facts of Rockford College to President Pu and expressed both the expectation of and the confidence in the two s future exchanges and cooperation.
After the meeting, President Pu and President Head signed an agreement on the cooperation between Jiangsu Polytechnic University and Rockford College in the No.2 Conference Room. Vice President Sun Xiaoqiang together with the heads of School of Economics and Management, Department of Law and Politics and School of Foreign Languages witnessed the signing ceremony.
