On the morning of Dec. 7th, Zhou Bingbing, Professor from the University of Sydney, gave a lecture Parallel Processing, to the graduate students in the School of Computer Science and Technology CST . The lecture was not only well received by graduate students, but also attracted many undergraduates.
In the following 10 days, Prof. Zhou will give 4 lectures on Parallel Processing every morning. On weekends he will answer students' questions and communicate with them.
In addition to the course taught by Prof.Zhou, the School of CST, since this semester, has invited Dr. Zhou Wanlei, Professor from Deakin University and Dr. He Xubin, from Virginia Commonwealth University and some other prestigious scholars to teach international leading knowledge on Computer Science C.S. . The series of courses will be opened successively.
Inviting international renowned scholars to teach courses is conducive for students to broadening academic horizon, inspiring creativity, grasping cutting-edge research achievements, and triggering their interest in C.S. research, which can consequently help students lay a solid academic foundation to become internationally competitive personnel.
