Four HUST Students Talk to French Political Leaders in Beijing

On the morning of Dec. 2nd, Talk To The World , the activity sponsored by the All China Youth Federation ACYF , the Chinese People s Society for Foreign Affairs and hosted by the China Youth Newspaper, the China Foreign Affairs Unviersity and the Media Alliance of Chinese Colleges, entered the China Foreign Affairs University . The honored guests of the activity were Raffarin, the former French Prime Minister, and Koppe, the General Secretary of the Union pour un Mouvement Populaire UMP .

More than 300 Chinese youth representatives from 39 universities across China attended the activity, carrying out a deep discussion on issues that concern both China and France. Through on-line application and selection, Chen Jing and Zhang Zhang, members from Association of Student Journalist, Li You and Mi Jun, members from Student International Communication Association SICA , participated in the activity.

Raffarin, the former French Prime Minister, and Koppe, the General Secretary of the Union pour un Mouvement Populaire UMP delivered speeches with original ideas on topics, such as "The Development of China and the International Consciousness of Chinese Youth" and "The Effects of China and French in Improving the Global Governance", winning audience s enthusiastic applause.

HUST student representatives, after the activity, believed that attending activities of this kind, was helpful to broaden horizons and to form the international consciousness.
