On March 19th, a delegation from the University of East Anglia, UK, including Prof. David Richardson, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Neil Ward, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Lisha Li, in charge of China Programs in the President Office, visited SDU. Vice-president Zhang Yun met with the guests. Vice-president Zhang briefed the guests on SDU and its international exchange and cooperation programs with universities in Europe, hoping that close cooperation with the University of East Anglia could be assured in the future. Prof. Ward and Prof. Richardson introduced the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Social Sciences, and were willing to carry out cooperation in the fields of environmental science, life science, chemistry, and development studies. Also, the delegation met with representatives from the Academic Research Sector, the School of Chemistry, the School of Environmental Science, the School of Life Science, the School of Economics, and the School of Management. Scientific cooperation and mutual cultivation of students were discussed. After the meeting, the delegation visited the HPC Center and the Media Lab of the School of Computer Science and Technology.
