On October10, 2009, President Hu Jintao sends a congratulatory letter to the teachers and students of CUMT, which will celebrate the centenary year of its founding.
Hu points out in the letter that energy resources are the basis and guarantee of the country's economic and social development.He emphasizes that as a key University for the country's education on the energy science and technology, CUMT shoulders great responsibilities and he whishes a bright future for CUMT.
Hu calls upon the University to abide by the Scientific Outlook on Development, foster more graduates and achieve more research fruits contributing to the sound and fast development of the country.
