Prof. Shi Jianjun was recently appointed as President of the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) by the Ministry of Education. Chen Xi, Vice Minister and Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee of the Ministry of Education, announced the appointment at UIBE on June 5.
Shi Jianjun took office as the Chief Accountant of Nanjing University in April 1996, and in July 1997 he was promoted to NJU Vice President. In 2001 he acquired his Ph.D. in economics from Xiamen University. In April 2005 he became the Executive Vice President of Nanjing University. Prof. Shi is also the Vice President of the National Statistical Society of China and the President of Jiangsu Association of Quantitative Economics and Management Science.
At Nanjing University, Prof. Shi successively took charge of the university s finances, logistics, capital construction, development planning and daily administrative affairs, and he was also the pacesetter of the national key discipline of enterprise management.
