Former Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Masayoshi Takemura Visits Nanjing University

Masayoshi Takemura, the former Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, on June 3 visited Nanjing University and discussed with NJU Vice President Zhang Rong how to promote cultural exchanges between Japan and China. Mr. Takemura also delivered a speech entitled Sino-Japanese Relations and the Prospects for Their Cooperation in the Area of Environment. After the speech, he gave his new book Purification to the faculty members and students present as a gift.
Masayoshi Takemura was previously Japan s Chief Cabinet Secretary, Minister of Finance and Chairman of New Party Sakigake. As the Chairman of the Japan-China Friendship Association on Desert Afforestation, he now devotes himself to promoting Sino-Japanese cooperation in the area of environment.
