A delegation including 19 Campus Health Ambassadors from the ChineseUniversity of Hong Kong (CUHK) visited our university for healthcare exchanges from May 15 to 17. The two parties shared their experiences in promoting healthcare knowledge and enhancing students awareness of health protection. The CUHK delegation also organized a healthcare promotion workshop for our students of the Red Cross Association. Afterwards, the delegation visited NanjingUniversityHospital.
Although NanjingUniversity and the ChineseUniversity of Hong Kong had previously launched some long-term cooperation programs such as the Cross-Strait Forum on Humanities and Social Sciences and the Joint Scoliosis Research Centre, it was the first time the two universities had cooperated with each other in the healthcare field. In view of the current outbreak of the A (H1N1) influenza and the fact that both Mainland China and Hong Kong reported confirmed cases, such kind of healthcare exchanges should be encouraged.
