Sponsored by Chinese Artists Association, the first Invitation Exhibition of Comic Strip on Shelf was unveiled on April 29 and will be displayed at Hall 6 and 8 until May, 4, 2010. The participants include more than 20 accomplished artists in the fields of comics, oil paintings and traditional Chinese paintings. The exhibits boast a large diversity and variety.
With the development of China s ecological culture, the comic strips have been deepened and widened in terms of intension and extension. And the conception of the large comic strips has gradually been recognized. Therefore, the comic strips on shelf come into being. As implied by the name, such artistic form is focus on observation against the wall and boasts differences in nature from the printed comics. Always sized at more than 60 centimeters, the comic strips on shelf boast distinct and strong overall and visual effect. In terms of intension and extension, they are featured by artistic taste.
The participants include a number of representative artists in the field of the comic strips, including Feng Yuan, Liu Dawei, Wu Changjiang, Shen Yaoyi, Qin Long, Xie Zhigao, Chen Yuxian, Liu Yanjiang, You Jindong, Li Aiguo, Wang Guoxin, He Youzhi, Dai Dunbang, Shi Dawei, Xia Baoyuan, Yu Xiaofu, Li Bin, Ye Xiong, Yang Hongfu, Wang Hongli, Xu Yong, Zhao Qi, Hou Guoliang, Li Chen, Zhao Guojing, Yan Baozhen, Gao Yun and Hu Bozong.
