Sponsored by Hubei Provincial Publicity Department and Chinese Artists Association, a special painting exhibition about Chen Liyan is currently on display at Hall 1 and 0 since June 25 until July 3.
Chen Liyan is former president of Hubei Provincial Academy of Fine Arts and former vice chairman of Hubei Artists Association. The exhibits comprise a number of figure paintings, poems and essays, boasting the readability and the education of a high degree.
Chen Liyan chooses not only well-known figures who made great contribution in the history but also grass-root characters, such as Ma Jun who invented the waterwheel, Li Chun who built Zhaozhou Bridge, Bi Sheng who invented the typography and grass-root artist Hua Yanjun.
