The Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) in New Delhi has reported a surge in Indian tourist arrivals in South Korea.
South Korea has enjoyed a 19% increase in visitors from India through December 2010 as compared to figures from the previous year. As KTO improves their promotional campaigns and connectivity, the tourist arrivals are expected to grow further in 2011. According to a report in Travel Daily India, KTO is targeting various travel segments such as MICE, leisure travel and honeymooners as well as Indian film makers. KTO is set to engage on an aggressive marketing campaign in 2011 which includes three FAM trips, a roadshow and participation in major travel fairs.
