Bangkok Airways announced their new international service from Bangkok to Mumbai starting March 2, 2011.
This new route is the airline s first international route expansion in over two years. According to a report in TTR Weekly, Mumbai was in a network plan back in 2009 but was put on hold due to the global economic crisis. The airline will fly the Indian route six times a week and use Airbus A319s that has 12 seats in business class and 108 in economy. The announcement of the launch date comes with a competitive introductory fare for economy class seats.
