REPRESENTATIVES OF SHANXI UNIVERSITY ATTENDED THE SUMMARY MEETING OF THREE-TOURING ACTIVITY ORGANIZED BY NOCFL / HEADQUARTERS OF CONFUCIUS INSTITUTES

NOCFL, Confucius Institute Headquarters held a summary meeting of touring performance, touring lecture, touring exhibition on May 21 to 23, 2010 in Zhengzhou. The director of NOCFL and director general of Confucius Institute Headquarters Xu Lin attended the meeting and delivered an important speech. The meeting was chaired by the associate director of NOCFL Zhao Guocheng. Shanxi University together with over forty other universities in China, including Beijing University, Beijing Normal University, and Nankai University, attended the meeting.

On behalf of Shanxi University, Vice President Gao Ce attended the meeting. At the meeting, he summed up Shanxi University s experience of touring performance in Confucius Institutes. He also made some suggestions on the long-term mechanism, project management, base construction and the incentive mechanism of running the program of three-touring. His suggestions were well received by all the participating delegates.

Commissioned by NOCFL, Shanxi University sent her touring performance delegation to Confucius Institute of Yerevan State Linguistic University, Armenia in October 2009 and Confucius Institutes in Greece and Poland in February 2010 respectively. The performance made sensational effects and was warmly welcomed by the local audience. For her excellent organization, Shanxi University received praise from NOCFL / Confucius Institute Headquarters.
