UK designer Claire Taylor shares her thoughts on furniture design with local designers in Dongguan on March 17, 2010.
A seminar on furniture design was held by the organizing committee of the 23rd International Famous furniture Fair and the British Consulate-General Guangzhou on March 17. Three designers from prominent UK companies shared their creative concepts and the international design trend with local furniture designers.
According to the organizing committee official, the design process has always been a bottleneck for the Chinese furniture industry. The flourishing Chinese furniture industry needs more designing power while in contrast there are great numbers outstanding designer talents in UK. Therefore, there is a great potential for more exchange and cooperation on furniture industries between the two countries.
