CAS Senior Academician Professor Hu Hongwen Visited Our University

At 10:00 a.m. on December 23, invited by our university, CAS Senior Academician Professor Hu Hongwen visited our university. Around Engineering Chemistry Courses , he discussed with all teachers of Chemical Engineering Department in Institute of Organic Chemistry. Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sun Xiaoqiang, leader of organic chemistry in our university, made warm reception for academician Hong-Wen Hu and chaired the forum.

At the forum, academician Hong-Wen Hu and our teachers led the topic with ways of constructing the basic chemical building materials during the training process of Chemical Engineering applied talents and they shared ideas on the system construction of the new materials, content filtering, control and auxiliary materials, difficulty of supporting the exchange. In addition, Hong-Wen Hu used layman s language to introduce the latest developments in organic chemistry, and, combined with his years of teaching experience, put forward his own ideas on specific theory in teaching of organic chemistry, such as chemical bonding, resonance theory, electrophilic substitution, nucleophilic substitution reactions, from which our teachers benefited a lot.
