Deputy President Zhang Met with the Finnish Delegation

On the morning of Oct. 22, Zhang Rong, Deputy President of NJU and member of the standing committee of the Party committee of NJU, met with Mr. Jahogin, President of the Finnish Kupio Company at Doujizha.

During the meeting, President Zhang welcomed Mr. and his delegation and expressed his hope for ongoing cooperation in establishing a center for environmental studies and a possible future project in medicine studies. He also introduced in detail the faculty and research work in the School of Life Science of NJU, especially the State Key Laboratory of Medicine and Biotechnology and the Model Animal Research Center as well as their social support. He said he was looking forward to the achievements of the cooperation between the two sides.

President Jahogin expressed his hope for the successful establishment of the center for environmental studies and the cooperation with NJU in traditional Chinese medicine. The two sides also discussed the details of the cooperation.

Bi Jun, Deputy Dean of the School of Environment, and Xu Chen, associate professor from the School of Life Science introduced the latest development of the center for environmental studies and the studies on traditional Chinese medicine in NJU.

After the meeting, the Finnish delegation visited the School of Environment, the School of Life Science of NJU and the National university science park of Nanjing University and Colleges in Gulou District.
