Eight patents by sixteen NJU students won awards at the 2009 Nanjing College Students Patent Exhibition held at the Nanjing Hall of Science and Technology from Apr. 24 to 27. Huang Zhizhen, Deputy Director of Jiangsu Intellectual Property Bureau, and Chu Xianguo, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Office of Jiangsu Education Department, attended the presentation ceremony held at Southeast University on April 29 and presented the awards to the winners. Zhang Xuping, Deputy Dean of our School of Management and Engineering, delivered a speech at the ceremony on behalf of the awardees supervisors.
The 239 patents from 13 universities that were put on display covered many research fields such as electronic information, environmental protection, biomedicine, electromechanical engineering, chemical engineering and agriculture. Thirty-six patents were from our university, which included the method to purify large water bodies the FRP Ecological Purification Treatment, the Video-based Visibility Detection method that had already been applied to the motorway between Nanjing and Zhenjiang and the automatic cradle and so on.
