Prof. Ren Hongqiang, Deputy Dean of our School of the Environment, became the only winner from Jiangsu Province of the 4th National Award for Invention and Creativity. The award ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on April 21. Minister Wan Gang of the Ministry of Science and Technology attended the ceremony and presented the awards to the winners.
The National Award for Invention and Creativity, one of the highest honors for inventors, is given by the China Association of Inventions. The awardees are chosen from the inventors who have made outstanding contributions to China s scientific and technological development and its national economy.
