On the afternoon of March 9, Tamasaburo Bando, the famous Japanese kabuki master, visited NJU and gave a lecture titled The Japanese Kabuki and the Chinese Culture. Zhang Yibin, Deputy Secretary of NJU s Party Committee, welcomed Mr. Bando on behalf of the university and sent him souvenirs.
Mr. Tamasuro Bando was born in an old kabuki family in Japan. When he was a child, he was so attracted by the glamour of kabuki that he was determined to devote himself to the performance. Now he is regarded as the miracle of kabuki . Women in the Dream, a movie directed by him, was selected as a finalist for the Berlin Film Festival.
