On March 6, Nagoya - Hokkaido University Day was successfully held in NJU. Attendants of the opening ceremony included Hong Yinxing, Secretary of NJU s Party Committee, Shinichi Hirano, President of Nagoya University, Hiroshi Saeki, President of Hokkaido University and Mr. Ishi, Consul General of the Japanese Consulate-General (Shanghai). Zou Yajun, Director of the Center for International Cooperation and Exchange of NJU and Yukinori Udagawa, Director of the Office of Nagoya University in Shanghai, presided over the activity.
During the lecture on the key research projects of Nagoya University and Hokkaido University, famous professors from the two universities introduced their research, including systems biology, hermeneutic studies and teaching of textual disposal and Functional Molecules of neurological and neoplastic diseases. With matched capability of research and development, NJU expects joint tacking of some of these projects with the two universities.
The two Japanese universities also held a consulting session for NJU students who are interested in studying in Japan.
