Delegation of the German Lower House Visited Deutsch-chinesisches Institut f r Rechtswissenschaft

On the morning of Oct. 27, the Delegation of the German Lower House Visited Deutsch-chinesisches Institut f r Rechtswissenschaft and held a meeting with the students and teachers in the institute.

During the meeting, Director Shao Jiandong from NJU introduced the history and the latest development of the institute, the building of the legal system and the law education in China. Deputy Director Peter Ertl introduced the financing of the institute. After the introducation session, Prof. Shao gave a speech on the achievements of the protection of intellectual property in China and the Chinese students had a heated debate on this issue with the German lawmakers.

After the meeting, the German lawmakers visited the institute s library and exchanged ideas with the teachers and students.

The Deutsch-chinesisches Institut f r Rechtswissenschaft in NJU is the only educational institute co-established by China and Germany. As a prestegious institute, it has been visited by famous persons such as the president and chancellor of Germany and the German embassador to China.
