Sponsored by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Chinese Calligraphers Association, an exhibition about Zhang Hai s calligraphic works, entitled The Bravura of Changing Life , is currently on display at Hall 1, 2 and 3 until May 7, 2010. The exhibition comprises more than 80 calligraphic works, reflecting his artistic journey in the past five decades.
The exhibits boast a variety of calligraphic categories, such as the seal script, the regular script and the cursive script. Almost one third of all the works are the artist s recent masterpieces and some albums are on debut. The contents are some poems, couplets and self-written words. The exhibition is hoped to give a forceful push to the development of the modern calligraphic art as well as a new starting point of his artistic life.
As a leading representative in the modern calligraphic circle, Zhang Hai is chairman of Chinese Calligraphers Association, member of the 11th National Committee of CPPCC and also deputy to the 8th, 9th and 10th NPC. He has enjoyed high reputation at home and abroad.
